Kate Passannante

Paper Conservator
  • B.Sc., Chemistry, with a minor in Studio Art, Juniata College; M.A., Art Conservation with a specialization in Works of Art on Paper, Northumbria University

Kate joined ICA in 2023, and works to conserve everything from drawings, prints, and documents to books, photographs and hanging scrolls. Unable to choose between art and science, she has found art conservation to be a career that combines the best of both worlds. Previously, Kate worked as a conservator at the Local Records Program at the Office of the Secretary of State of Missouri, and interned at the Hirayama Studio for East Asian Works of Art at the British Museum. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, drawing, learning esoteric trivia, and starting another craft project before finishing her last one.
